THE CORPSE-RAT BANDWAGON START TO ROLL

Ooooooohhhhh, look what arrive in the mail last night:

The first Corpse-Rat King ARC. The very first appearance of my novel in real, dead-wood, destruction of the rainforests pulp and print.

Ain't she pretty?

And the reviews are starting to roll in, too. Over at The Troubled Scribe, it's been awarded 7 out of 10 Liams, with marks taken off because my hero is too complex. I'll take that sort of markdown any day, especially when it's accompanied by phrases like "distinctive voice", "pure brilliance" and "beyond spectacular".

You know you want to buy this book. You do. I want to buy it, and I know what happens... :)

I just finished the book and it was outstanding! Marius as a narrator has my type of sarcasm. Just love the tone of the book. All around, loved everything about it. Marius was not too complex, maybe he was if you were a redneck or followed the shade around the house. Who are these people anyway, to make such a comment? Were they hung over when they were reading? Anyway, I loved it and will give it five stars on netgalley, Goodreads, Amazon, my book Blog http:www.mlbiblo.com, as well as facebook, twitter and the like. Here is your dirty joke. It is as old as the one you put in your book. What is the difference between snowmen and snowwomen? Snowballs! Thank you for writing such an excellent book. I hope there will be more coming with Marius. I got many hours of sheer pleasure from reading your work. Thank you again.

All My Best,

Melinda Le Baron

Hi Melinda,

Thanks for dropping by, and I'm chuffed that you like the book so much!

I'm not too worried about the 'complex narrator' comment-- just the opposite, really. I take it as a compliment, and I'm far more amused than upset by it. Besides which, any reviewer is entitled to their opinion, and all I ask when reading a review is that it be logical and articulate, which it was. So definitely no harm, no foul, and the overall tone was beautifully positive.
